On August 1, 1979 this unit entered the record books with speeds in excess of 130 mph and average lap times of 109 mph.
In 2006, Twin Cities Wrecker Sales restored this 1979 Chevrolet equipped with a Holmes 440 wrecker to it’s original character and is now on display at the International Towing & Recovery Museum in Chattanooga, Tennessee as “The World’s Fastest Wrecker.”
